I don’t know if they’ll ever be considered the two best ever, but two of my favorites are the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan, when they storm the beach, and The Exorcist, when Regan does the head spinning thing.
There are literally thousands as you know, but I will break it down to the two I love the most. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”. When they are drunk (which they were the whole money) and she tore into him, she was literally eating the film. A great. great movie.
Then, My favorite movie really has two scenes. “Glengarry Glen Ross” What a super cast and Jack Lemmon should have won an Oscar. When Alex Baldwin did the “Steak Knife” scene, it was gold, and when Lemmon told Kevin Spacey to”Kiss My Ass, Pal” he put on an acting class. Great movie all around and very under-appreciated movie.
